Description:
The aim of the Trauma and Injury Intelligence Group (TIIG) is to systematically collect trauma and injury data from accident and emergency departments (AEDs) and other partner agencies, so as to establish an Injury Survelliance System (ISS). In Merseyside, TIIG systematically collects data from all AEDs, the fire service and ambulance service, and working alongside the North West Public Health Observatory, has access to both hospital episodes and mortality data. It is currently expanding into Lancashire and Cumbria.
